Last day: a slow, lazy lunch

So today was our last full day.  The plan was to go and visit the Hamam Bey - the biggest Turkish Baths in town.  A sign outside said it was shut until today but having walked across the city to it, there were locked gates and no likelihood, it seemed, of it opening any time soon.

So we walked to the port where our map told us there was a Post Office where we could send our postcards.

It was a sweltering hot day, even though we walked in the shade wherever possible.  But at the port there was no sign of Post Office - just a new opened Starbucks.
So we went for a stroll along one of the dock piers and arrived just in time to see a water bus depart.

We spotted a restaurant that looked to the east and the White Tower and it had outdoor seating.  Its location meant that the sun would move in a way that meant we would be thrown further into the shade as the day progresses.  There was a slight breeze from the sea.  So we decided to ensconce ourselves for a lazy lunch and watch the bar-boats go by,
Kevin had garlic mushrooms and Strapatsada, a Greek version of scrambled eggs with tomatoes and olive oil on bread.  Joan had a Cypriot salad with aubergines and grilled feta.  It was great watching the world go by for the whole afternoon.
Even at 6 o'clock it was scorching as we walked back along the prom to our flat.  The final evening was spent watching the boats go by and the night falling.
